Idek I know all of the heartbreaking and lovely things that people have said about the hug Dean gave to Cas but I wanted to see Cas giving hugs too
This has to happen before this season closes.
Maybe the biggest season about Dean and Castiel’s love, like, ever? Yeah basically. Ever.
Actually not even SLIGHTLY over this display of affection between the three of them like NOT EVEN A LITTLE BIT AT ALL.
LOOK. AT. HIS. FACE.
Like he’s come to some horrible realization that what he wants with his whole heart is the same thing he’s being forced to beat, to break, to kill. That he can not possibly be the monster that Naomi wants him to be.
The realization that Dean matters more than the will of Heaven is, in and of itself, slightly terrifying to him. It’s part of that desperate shock in his eyes.
But to be Benny in this scenario, knowing only the most vicious side of bloody Dean Winchester, having seen those same hands crush throats and break bones, now watching all that tenderness spill out, gush, and love leaking where only violence has been. Hearing, “I’ve prayed to you every night!” Thinking, oh, this must be the angel then, and wondering at how desperately Dean must have been hoarding his faith.

I HAVE SOMETHING IN MY EYE IT’S THE FACT THAT DOGS ARE THE GREATEST THINGS EVER TO GRACE THIS PLANET OH DEAR GOD
Because it isn’t a Christmas advent until you make Yuletide gay.
This was actually the first drawing I did for the advent! Back in the end of October. Referenced used for the carousel.
For some reason this year all the Dean pictures are all cuddly and admire-y and fluffy…
and Dean’s like wait, excuse me what?
OK SO THIS IS THE SELFISH SHIPPER IN ME BUT WHAT IRRITATES ME THE MOST ABOUT NAOMI:
Every entrance she has, she is cutting off a Dean reaction. LIterally every one. And in this one, I know we would have seen Dean’s eyes sink.
Because I think that the only poorly dealt with thing in this night’s ep was that, while we dealt with the escape for Cas and Sam, we didn’t really deal with Dean’s. We know what it IS, obviously. He’s still reeling from the prospect of losing Sammy and coming back from Purg.
But here he is—losing Cas again.
Buddy, I just got you back. What the hell?
